The picturesque town of Fairview, incorporated in 1958, is home to a population of almost 9,000. The inviting small-town community is known for its large homes on expansive lots and equestrian estates, as well as its extensive proliferation of open spaces, including its scenic rolling hills, creeks, and woodlands.

Fairview was incorporated in 1958 when a petition with over 30 signatures requested an incorporation election for Fairview. On May 7, 1958, the election was held in the Fairview Grocery. The support for incorporation was almost unanimous. On May 12, 1958, the town's order for incorporation was signed by Jude Button.

The town of Fairview is a small but progressive community located in Collin County, Texas. The town, incorporated in 1958, remained an isolated and quiet community for many years. Fairview is small but offers abundant opportunities for its residents to enjoy a wide array of recreational activities. Sites such as Fairview's award-winning golf course located at Heritage Ranch present residents with a chance to hit the greens and enjoy a round of golf. The Fairview Soccer Complex

The complex, built on 74 acres, is home to world-class soccer fields. The top-of-the-line facility is also home to a park, an amphitheater, walking trails, and space for soccer. Teams from all over come to compete within the world-class facility.

 

Creekside Park

Opened in 2005, Creekside Park is the Town of Fairview's first municipally-owned park. Located on Parkdale Drive in the Oakwood subdivision, a playground area, the park features a large picnic pavilion, and a 500 ft paved trail.

 

Beaver Run

Open since the fall of 2006, Beaver Run is located in the Thompson Springs subdivision. The park features a 1/2 mile paved trail and a nature trail, a basketball court, horseshoe pits, a large picnic pavilion, a playground area, and a large deck overlooking a beaver pond. Signs visible throughout the park tell the story of Fairview's history.

 

Monarch Park

Located in the Summerhill Farms Subdivision, Monarch Park was completed in phases. The first phase of the park was complete in 2007 and the second in 2008. Today, the park features a human sundial, a picnic pavilion, and a playground area.

 

Roadrunner Trail

The Roadrunner Trail, which opened in 2008, grants residents the freedom to cross from Meandering Way to Cypress Park, all the while, experiencing the natural beauty of the Fairview area. The trail is great for those wishing to walk or run the beautiful well-kept Fairview trail.

 

Veterans Park

The park, located adjacent to Fairview Town Hall, was created to honor the many men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. The park features six monuments dedicated to the Army, Air Force, Coast Guard, Marines, Merchant Marines, and Navy. The park also features memorial stones that honor the memory of those who have served in the military. The stones that display a golden star indicate that the soldier was lost as a result of combat.

Shopping in Fairview

The Village at Fairview offers Fairview residents over 500,000 sq feet of upscale retail spaces, cafes and restaurants, and residential spaces. Developed by the MGHerring Group and opened in 2009, the mixed-use space is a recent addition to the small town. The Village's larger retail spaces, include Dillard's, J.C. Penny, Macy's, The Container Store, and Whole Foods.
